I'm thrilled to say that my play Unsafe: a psychological thriller was names as on of the Cape Cod Times favorite theater pieces of 2016. 

Playwright Jim Dalglish turned one of the most traumatic experiences of his life into art.

What punches you in the gut about Dalglish’s play is how the characters feel remarkably real as they grapple both with the danger and circumstances of the play; but with the past they have yet to truly come to grips with.  Will and Lisa reside soundly in a state of prolonged grief where they are trying to find ways to emerge from the long, dark tunnel of their loss.

When I first read Jim Dalglish’s Unsafe, a play centering around characters who have all experienced loss after the terror attacks of September 11th and who are all attempting to grapple with these memories,  I instinctively knew the play was important.  It struck me in the gut and resonated with me days after I finished it.  

Jim Dalglish’s two-act psychological thriller “Unsafe” comes to the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theatre from Cotuit Center for the Arts, where it will run March 31 – April 10. The BCA production runs April 14 – 30, 2016.

The McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ, is offering a staged reading of A Talented Woman that is open to the public. 

The Actors Studio liked A Talented Woman so much after their first reading of the play on May 20th, they included it in their "Best of..." Festival. 

A Talented Woman is a semi-finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

A Talented Woman has won the 2013 New Playwright, New Plays Competition and the Kaplan Prize awarded by Eventide Arts.
